THUNDER BAY ALLIANCE CHEER CAMP CHAMPS!!! WAY TO GO GIRLS!!!

Churchill's cheerleading team has a history of being a strong, dedicated, and respectable team with excellent sportsmanship. Last year the team finished 1st in Northwestern Ontario and 5th in Ontario in the Large All Girl Level 2 division. This year Heather Campbell and the rest of the coaching staff have chosen a large team with great potential and the skills to take home the trophy again this year- and we've already begun doing just that, with our 1st place trophy that we won at the Alliance Cheer camp held this past October. We placed a respectable 3rd place at SSSAA last month, only 11.5 points behind the 1st place team. Coming up on February 26th is the OCF Regional competition where we will be defending our 2005 championship. Good luck to all teams!

News
SSSAA City Championship
A big congratulations goes out to the much-deserving champions, the Hammarskjold Vikings and their amazing coaching staff. St. Pats also has our respect with an unbelievable performance (as usual). The Churchill girls may not have taken the title home but it is safe to say they left the event with their heads held high- a nearly flawless performance can be credited to Heather Campbell and the rest of the coaching staff. We are a hard-working team with a relatively high number of rookies and the veterans of the team are very proud of them! Perfection before progression is important to us and so we are thrilled with finishing so closely to the 1st and 2nd place teams with our level of difficulty. Congratulations to all teams- see you at Regionals.

Regional Championships
Again, the Hammarskjold Vikings came out on top, but we managed to upset the standings with a second place finish, Saints following behind. It was an exciting performance and a huge step up from our SSSAA routine. We will be travelling to Provincials at the end of April.
